CHERYL COPELAND
Cheryl graduated with a BFA in Dance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Cheryl’s fresh, unique style and approach to dance has made her in demand and given her notoriety across the United States. Having studied and performed extensively in Florida, New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, her training and technical expertise is reflected in her classes and choreography. Her professional work includes Tap Kids, Between Lines, Superbowl, Disney, MTV, as well as several industrials. She has worked under such notable choreographers as Mia Michaels, Milton Myers, Lisa Hopkins, and Winifred R. Harris.
As a teacher, her students have received countless awards, scholarships, and gone on to dance with artists such as Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Aaron Carter, and can be seen in Target , Gap , and Old Navy commercials. Some of her students are even pursuing degrees at the notorious Juilliard.
As a choreographer, she has won countless awards including a Choreography Under the Stars finalist cash award, A young choreographers award from NYCDA, and several outstanding choreography awards from various regional and national dance competitions.
After touring with Tap Kids as assistant to well known tap choreographer Lisa Hopkins, and serving as resident choreographer for Teen Dance Company of the Bay Area, Cheryl relocated to Los Angeles where she can be found teaching at Edge Performing Arts Center and Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio. She can also be found teaching master classes, workshops, and residencies all around the country, (her most recent being in Austin, Texas at Tapestry and The Dance Spot) and she is currently in the process of founding her own modern dance company, BHumn Dance. She has been an adjudicator for Starbound, Bounce, Creation Dance Championships, and Jump/ Cheryl’s ballet classes combine classical technique with a contemporary flare. Her contemporary jazz classes encourage students to move organically and connect emotionally while still utilizing their technical foundation.
CINDY SALGADO
Born in California, Cindy moved to New York to train at the Juilliard School. She was honored to receive the Princes Grace Award in 2004 and earned a BFA in 2005. Since then, she has been a member of Aszure Barton & Artists, with director Aszure Barton. In 2007, she toured with Mikhail Baryshnikov in his Hell’s Kitchen Dance Tour. Cindy has worked with Andy Blankenbuehler on preproduction for a few Broadway musicals, and Mia Michaels as both a performer and an assistant on various projects since 2000. She is a cofounder and teacher for Artists Striving To End Poverty (ASTEP), an outreach organization that provides arts programming for underserved children in New York, South Florida, South Africa, and India. In 2009 Cindy joined Kidd Pivot, a contemporary dance company based in Frankfurt, Germany, with artistic director, Crystal Pite. They are currently touring throughout Europe, Canada, Australia & the US. When Cindy’s not performing, she loves teaching and inspiring young dancers to live their dreams.
ADAM PETERSON
Discovering his passion for dance through Universal Rhythm at Sheldon High School, Adam has gone on to become a graduate of the Dominican University of CA/Alonzo King's LINES Ballet Program with his BFA in dance. He also trained with Elite Studio of Dance and participated in prestigious programs such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Summer Program, and ODC/DANCE Inside ODC Summer Audition Workshop. He has taught master classes and choreographed numerous pieces for local dance companies and studios and won choreography awards at various competitions and conventions. As a performer, Adam has graced the stage with world renowned companies such as the Limon Dance Co., Alonzo King's LINES Ballet, Dawson Dance Co., Project Agora, & ODC/DANCE Inside ODC.
MARVIN MILLORA
Marvin received his BFA in dance at The University of The Arts in Philadelphia. He is also an alumni from the scholarship program of The Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. Marvin's credits includes performances for Disney, Nickelodeon, Vh1, Red Bull, Coke, and Paramount. He's performed on TV shows like MTV's America's Best Dance Crew and ABC's Dance Machine. Marvin has toured nationally with Disney's The Cheetah Girls. He has also worked with other recording artists such as Britney Spears, Jesse McCartney, and Nick Cannon. Currently, Marvin has been touring with Justin Bieber. Since dancing alongside Justin, Marvin has had the opportunity to dance on TV shows such as SNL, The Oprah Show, The Today Show, The Ellen Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, David Letterman, and The View. He's also had the opportunity to dance on award shows such as Nickelodeon's Teen Choice Awards and MTV's VMA Awards. Touring with Justin Bieber has given Marvin to opportunity to perform all over the world.
JEANNE JACOBSON
MARQOS MALDONADO
Marqos Maldonado was born October 25th, 1986 in a small town called Firebaugh, CA. Around 2 years of age, he, his mom and brother moved to Sacramento, CA. He grew up in Sacramento and followed the path of his older brother and cousins playing soccer and baseball competitively. It wasn't until around middle school where he discovered the art of Dance. Marqos started out as a B-Boy. He immediately fell in love with this style of dance and began training constantly. After Middle school he went on to attend Florin High School for 3 years and finsihing up at Laguna Creek High School for his Senior year. There he auditioned and got in with "Masterpeace Dance Theatre" and began learning choreography in different dance styles such as: Jazz, Salsa, Lyrical and Hip Hop.
Along with learning choreography in high school, he also started choreographing his own routines mixing breaking and hip hop together. Marqos created pieces that would be showcased in the Main theater production shows at Florin High. After high school, he was hired by "Dance 10 Dance Center" (in Gold River, CA) as a hip hop and breakdance teacher. While working there, he would teach and choreograph for all ages and perform in productions and showcases such as The Wizard of Oz, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Pre-game performances for the Sacramento Kings.
Later in 2009, feeling he was ready to take the next step in his career, Marqos decided to take his talent to Los Angeles. Only one month after his move, he became a scholarship "work-study" at the famous "Millennium Dance Complex" in North Hollywood taking classes and training under top choreographers in the world such as Marty Kudelka, Dres Reid, David Moore, Donyelle Jones, Kenny Wormald, Misha Gabriel and many more. Soon after he started auditioning for dance agencies, he was chosen by Trio Talent Agency to be represented in no only dance, but commercial and print as well. Now being represented in LA, Marqos is constantly being sent on many auditions for movies, commercials, music videos, live performances, and tours. He feels very fortunate to have worked on so many different projects and with artists such as: Beyonce, Colby O'Donis, Kenny Loggins, Nelly Furtado, Enrique Iglesias, Crystal Harris, MJ Wii Commercial, HBO, Sitv Network The Drop and Feature Film Movie "I Kissed a Vampire" starring Lucas Grabeel and Drew Seeley from High School Musical.
On top of performing, Marqos was fortunate enough to choregraph for some artists and companies including: Coca Cola, AT&T, Major League Soccer LA Galaxy Halftime performance, Real O', Lauren Taylor, Alana Hyland, and Crystal Harris. This year alone, he has traveled to the UK and Canada. Performing and looking back to when he first started out practicing that outside stage, he had no clue that dance could take him this far.
Marqos says his ultimate goal is to dance for Cirque Du Soleil and until then, he continues training hard, auditioning for different projects, and choreographing. He looks forward to keep on growing as an artist and a dancer and sharing his love for dancing with the rest of the world.
KAITLYN PARMENTIER
Kaitlyn Wilhite was born and raised in Southern California, where she bagan dancing at the age of 4, and teaching at the age of 15. She has had the opportunity to train and dance alongside many top choreographers in the industry such as David Moore, Rachel Kay, Mia Michaels, Tokyo, Sonya Teyah and Nappytabs. Kaitlyn was blessed to take away valuable instruction from some of the best dancers and use it to translate into her own expression of hip hop. While living in California, Kaitlyn danced for multiple performance teams, competing throughout the state. She received many high point awards and scholarships as a soloist. She has also received many choreography awards for her work. Now living in Austin, Texas Kaitlyn is getting her feet wet in the new dance scene, choreographing for multiple studios and is a member of the dance crew Stak'd.
