NAIMAH KISOKI

Naimah (Willoughby) Kisoki a native New Yorker began her dance studies at age 8. She received training at Ballet Tech formerly known as The New Ballet School, under the direction of Eliot Feld and later was named a company member performing revivals and original works.

In 2000, Naimah joined the Dance Theatre of Harlem company under the direction of Arthur Mitchell, where she performed works of many choreographers including George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments, Serenade, and Apollo. Other choreographers include: Sir Frederic Franklin, Goeffrey Holder, Michael Smuin and resident choreographer Robert Garland. Other guest appearances include American Repertory Ballet; Collage Dance Collective; Urban Ballet Theatre and Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico.

Following her ballet career, Naimah began to branch out to commercial dance and musical theatre. She signed with an agent at Clear Talent Group where she landed a role in Walt Disney's The Lion King as well as feature dance opportunities in movies and television. Other commercial work includes performing with recording artists Luis Miguel, Rihanna and print add for Adidas with Missy Elliott.

To add to her credits, Naimah attends classes at Steps On Broadway and Broadway Dance Center, NY. Naimah is a certified teacher through the Royal Academy of Dance London, UK.

Naimah married Yani Kisoki and moved to Sacramento, CA in August 2011. She is excited to now be a part of the Elite Studio of Dance staff.
